Profile:
Currently working in the in the Security Policy team of the OeE with responsibility for authentication policy for citizen and business transactions with government. Previously worked for the UK Home Office, (Police Scientific Development Branch) and for the Department for Transport, (Transport Security Division) in security technology and policy related areas.

“Authentication: Proving your identity, a review of the state of the art”
This presentation will deal with why and how authentication is carried out, It will briefly introduce the various methods of authentication, their strengths and weaknesses and identify areas where further development is required particulary in those not directly related to technology.
