“Security in elettronic payments”
In the last years many companies started to offer the possibility to execute financial
transactions and payments on line, through new devices (Pc, Palm, Wap, Digital TV).
This means that many companies are putting big efforts in researching and developing new security systems to support this kind of transactions on open architectures in a framework of “anything, anywhere, anytime, through any device”.
Smartcards, token, certificates, mobile phones, cryptography techniques are differently used to fit B2C and B2B market requirements. Solutions are designed trying to meet needs like business, costs and openness with security protection that means privacy, integrity, availability, authentication and non repudiation.
