VITTORIA MARZIARI REALISED THE MASGALANO FOR THE SPECIAL EDITION PALIO OF SEPTEMBER 9TH. The artist, born in Monte S. Savino (Arezzo) in 1942, graduated from the Art Institute of Siena, and always in our city, she is still carrying her career of teacher and sculptor. Among her favorite subjects is the informal abstract, marring poesy and technique; no wonder most critics described her sculpting as philosophic. Started with ceramic, in these recent years her work has been concentrated in the fusion of metals, where the artist succeeds in transporting her inner liberty, treating the matter in a personal and creative way. The Masgalano of Marziari is characterized by its temporal-space "dimension". Bronze, crystal and gold were melted together. The synergy of these three elements, resolved in plasticity and brightness, sublimates the cosmic subject. An homage, then, at the new millennium, where a play of light represents a whish for a better world. Vittoria Marziari participated with success in numerous national and international expositions: Mentana Gallery of Florence, International Art Expo of New York, Monument 2000 of Bornem (Belgium), Wolfsburg in Germany (at the Volkswagen head office), Annecy (France), Siena, Arezzo, Bologna, etc
The precious award is offered by CEIS (The Sienese Electrician Installers Union), for the occasion of the 25th anniversary of its establishment, that regroups, in Siena and the province, 70 companies with around 350 employees. |
